GDS and corporate consortia distribution
Corporate travel desks book through the global distribution systems. A boutique hotel can be on those screens, under its own name, without joining a legacy franchise.
Why independents go missing
Travel managers and agencies search Sabre, Amadeus and Travelport for hotels they can book against a negotiated rate. A hotel without a chain code or GDS connection is simply not in that search. The usual fix has been to join a franchise and give up the brand.
How the alliance represents you
Members are loaded in the GDS under a shared alliance chain code, with their own property name, photos and rate plans. The chain code gets you listed; the property stays yours.
| System | Typically used by | What you load | Identifier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sabre | Travel agencies and corporate desks, strong in North America | Property profile, corporate and negotiated rate plans | Chain code + property ID |
| Amadeus | Agencies and airlines, strong in Europe and Asia-Pacific | Property profile, rate plans, availability | Chain code + property ID |
| Travelport | Agencies, including Galileo and Worldspan users | Property profile, rate plans, availability | Chain code + property ID |
Corporate programs and consortia
Many companies and travel management companies buy hotels through preferred programs. Consortia aggregate agency demand and publish rates their travelers can book. Members can enter those programs through the alliance, and decide which corporate accounts to pursue.
- Negotiated corporate rates loaded once, visible across all three systems.
- Last-room availability options for your best accounts, set by you.
- Commission terms that are typically a fixed agency commission, usually lower than an OTA’s. Ask us for the current schedule.
- Reporting on which accounts book, so you can price them with evidence.
Keeping your identity
The alliance is a soft brand: a shared distribution umbrella, not a standards manual. There are no mandated mattresses, logos or breakfast menus. Membership asks for accurate rates, honest descriptions and parity discipline.
Corporate bookings also tend to book direct on repeat. See how that pairs with parity architecture, or start with the commission calculator.
